The Video Data Bank would like to point your attention towards a great project that needs your help.  Our friends, filmmakers Jon Nealon and Jenny Raskin, are currently working on a documentary feature film about the Videofreex. They are close to finishing production, and have launched a Kickstarter campaign to restore a number of Videofreex tapes that still need to be preserved in order to complete the film.  All restored tapes will then be made available for distribution through VDB.  In their words...
"...Here Come the Videofreex [is] an inspiring documentary about a pioneering video collective from the 1970s, built from their own incredible archive of video tapes. With the money raised from this Kickstarter campaign, we will be able to wrap production on the film and -- more importantly -- restore a crucial set of tapes from the Videofreex archive."
Check out the video below, spread the word about the campaign, and donate what you can to save the tapes!  Donors receive great Videofreex gear, like tote bags, buttons, books, DVDs, art prints and even film credits.
More information can be found on the Kickstarter page and the film's website.
