Distribution Manager, Lindsay Bosch will be representing VDB at the first NAMAC (National Alliance for Media Art + Culture) Campaign and Policy Institute in Washington, DC, next week. There, she will be exploring ways that VDB can continue its work as a national, vocal advocate for our artists and for media art exhibiting organizations. The Institute will focus on issues such as arts funding, education, freedom of expression and nonprofit laws as well as the policies affecting new technology for media creation and distribution.

Don't hesitate to get in touch (lindsay@vdb.org) with any questions or concerns regarding media arts public policy that you'd like us to raise or look into at the Institute.

From NAMAC:  NAMAC will bring together twenty leaders from intermediary arts organizations for a training institute, December 6 – 8, 2011 in Washington, DC. This intensive three-day workshop is designed to build participants’ capacity to influence national level policies that affect their organizations, constituents and the field. There will be a special focus on connecting how media and technology policy affects the arts across disciplines.
