Walking Off Court is the story of the nervous breakdown of a tennis fan and his rising inability to find tennis partners. The film is created using huge sweeping pans, over which, in voice-over, we hear the answer-machine messages that the tennis pro leaves in his desperate search to find partners. β€œIt is 10 minutes long and concerns a story I saw in The Times about a tennis coach called James Goodman who had a nervous breakdown around about the time that a motorway was built right outside his house. He spent a lot of time aimlessly walking in circles around new roads and road works.” --George Barber
