This intimate video portrait of Joyce Neimanas, produced by Linda K. Upton with videography and editing by Scott Rankin, serves as an archival record of this iconic photographic artist, and as a resource for academic institutions with photography programs, museums with photographic collections, as well as private collectors.

Highlights of the video include an interview conducted at The New Mexico Museum of Art, Santa Fe by Katherine Ware, Curator of Photography that focuses on several of Neimanas’ works in the museum’s extensive collection, exploring the origins of her early innovative work, academic training and continuing evolution as an artist.  During a studio visit in her home in Albuquerque, she reminisces about her life as both an individual and collaborative artist, and demonstrates the techniques used in producing her current camera-less work.
