The Video Data Bank Screening Room is free and open to the public by appointment. To schedule viewing time please call 312.345.3550 or email our Distribution Manager with the following information:Name • Phone • Email Address • Requested Date & Time • Requested Titles
We will respond to confirm your appointment. The screening room can fit 3-4 guests comfortably. If you are planning to visit the VDB with a large group, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org so we can work with you to facilitate access.
The VDB is located in a School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) building, and guests will need to provide a photo ID for building entry. 112. S. Michigan Avenue is located directly across from the Art Institute of Chicago's main entrance, between Adams Street and Monroe Street.

Screening Room Policies
- Each booking can be a maxiumum duration of two hours, unless a special research exception is granted.
- The screening room will be held open for no longer than fifteen minutes after your allocated start time. If you are running late please call us.
- If possible, please select in advance which titles you wish to view. We cannot guarantee works will be available if you select your titles on the day of viewing
- Please leave the screening room tidy, with all equipment and lights switched off as a courtesy to the next guest.
